Grails Maven Publisher Plugin Woes

So I been using Maven for years... I love and hate maven like everyone else. With my grails app i used the maven archetype but wanted to see if i can use the grails maven plugin called "Maven Publisher"

if you follow the Grails Docs and the Plugin docs things look simple and easy.
I should be able to do a deploy via
grails maven-deploy --repository=myRepo

Instead, i keep on getting the following error.

[install-provider] Installing provider: org.apache.maven.wagon:wagon-http:jar:1.0-beta-2:runtime Error deploying artifact: target\myapp-2.0.35.2.war (The system cannot find the file specified)
Have you specified a configured repository to deploy to (--repository argument) or specified distributionManagement in your POM?
Maven deploy complete.

hmm strange.... everything should work... after looking around the web I found the following bug on the plugin.

Looks like the issue and the fix are in the following comment.
.. may be because you're running Windows and our Windows batch file logic is not great. I believe this will work for you:
grails maven-deploy "--repository=myRepo"
ie you have to quote the arguments on Windows
So that fixed it for me... short term, please go and request a fix for that bug.
